Medical Case Details:
10 month old infant with h/o bleeding per rectum for 3 hours. Intermittent pain abdomen, no vomiting or fever. O/E: vitals stable; abd soft and no mass palpable. USG showed transient colo-colic intussusception.
Initially managed conservatively overnight. Diagnostic laparatomy done and Opened up next early morning- transient colo-colic intussusception with mass in distal 1/3 transverse colon. Did resection and anastomosis.
Biopsy revealed Lymphoma.
post op child hail and healthy.
Child referred for Chemo.
Happened to see similar cases during MCh.
Strong suspicion required and also think Lymphoma as one of the cause.
