Professional Bio

Dr. Kiran J. B. is a certified Sexologist. He graduated BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) from the Government Ayurvedic Medical College, Mysore in 2000 and completed MSc in Sexuality and Sexual Counseling from Kuvempu University in 2006. He has 23 years of clinical experience.

Awards & Publications

Dr. Kiran J. B He received a Fellowship in Council of Sex Education and Parenthood International from the Medicon Foundation for Sex Therapy and Education by Dr. M. C. Watsa. He has attended an Intensive Advanced Course of Sexual Medicine organized by the European Society of Sexual Medicine in 2019, held in Budapest, Hungary. He also received a Certification as a Sexologist from the American College of Sexologists (2017). He has received the following Awards:

• Saartaka Seva Award for long-standing achievements in the field of Sexual Medicine by Kautilya Vidyalaya Mysore on 27th February 2011.
• Outstanding Services Award for the contribution to the cause of sexual health in India by the Council of Sex Education and Parenthood (International) on 24th August 2014.
• Best Social Service Award for conducting sex education and awareness programs for adolescents in Mysore by Family Planning Association of India, Mysore branch on 5th December 2015.
• Best Paper Award for presenting a research paper at the 8th International Conference on Sexology at Chennai on 13 and 14 February 2016.
