Dr. Thair Takesh is a Dental Surgeon specializing in Oral Implantology and Periodontics. He graduated from dental school in 1988 at Aleppo University, Syria, and received his first diploma at Heritage University in Medical Science in 1994. In 2000 he specialized in Dental Implants in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department at Manchester University, UK. In 2005, he completed the postgraduate program in Periodontology at Cardiff University. Besides, he also received an additional Master’s degree in Biomechanical Engineering, which provided a biomechanistic understanding of many oral dysfunctions. At UCI, he worked in Chemical Engineering and Material Sciences department before joining the Beckman Laser Institute as Project Scientist. There, his work is focused on innovation in the field of Periodontology and Dental Materials, and his pioneering work provides the basis for low-cost innovative quantification of gingival health and the effectiveness of novel periodontal preventive and interventional approaches. He has 35 years of clinical experience and currently working at Beckman Laser Institute, CA, United States.
