Allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis is a type of fungal infection caused by the fungi of the category Aspergillus. The fungal spores flying in the air may enter one's airways through breathing. It may develop a fungal colony inside the airways and lungs. This process causes severe allergic responses in those with asthma or cystic fibrosis.
