Ophthalmic atropine has various uses, such as dilating the pupil before eye examination and alleviating pain caused due to inflammation and swelling of the eyes. It is also used in glaucoma patients to prevent an increase in intraocular pressure and also plays its role in slowing down the progression of myopia.
