Best Disease

The best disease is known as the best vitelliform macular dystrophy. It is a rare autosomal dominant disease that occurs due to mutation of BEST1 (Bestrophin-1), causing incomplete penetration and variable expression presenting in childhood. It commonly affects the macula, a part of the retina present at the back of the eyes. It makes the central vision blurry and causes a blank patch on the center of the vision. There is no treatment for this condition.
