Calcification in the tonsils is a tonsillolith and occurs due to chronic inflammation. They are seen on palatine tonsils due to the accumulation of debris and calcified bodies. The symptoms could be bad breath, sore throat, and earache. Salt water gargling helps to relieve the symptoms.
