Cervicitis is an inflammation of the cervix. It is caused by sexually transmitted diseases (STD), including chlamydia, allergic reaction to products such as latex of condoms or deodorants, and bacterial overgrowth in the vagina. Cervicitis may show symptoms like heavy vaginal discharge, pain during sex, and painful urination.
