Chronic Laryngitis

Persistent inflammation of the larynx without any pain is chronic laryngitis. It leads to changes or hoarseness in the voice. Smoking, acid reflux, chemical exposure, polyps, and persistent respiratory infections are its causative factors. Removal of the polyps, quitting smoking, medications to treat respiratory infections, rest to the larynx by not speaking, avoiding caffeinated drinks and alcohol, and drinking more water are ways to recover from this condition.
