Diabetic Care

Apart from medications, people with diabetes need to take care of many other entities to keep their blood sugar under control and prevent further complications. Eating the right amount of healthy food, regularly exercising or some form of physical activity, avoiding alcohol and tobacco use, and checking the blood parameters (HbA1c, FBS, PPBS, lipid profile) regularly are measures to regulate and control the blood sugar levels. Proper oral hygiene methods are necessary for a healthy periodontium. Regularly check for any blisters or sores on the foot and any problem with the eyes if present must seek medical help. Taking the medications regularly and leading a stress-free life are some of the ways to prevent complications. Regular follow-up with a diabetologist is recommended.
