Genitourinary Tuberculosis is an infection of the genital tract with Mycobacterium tuberculosis, which usually follows pulmonary Tuberculosis in 2% to 20% of individuals. Risk factors include primary disease of Tuberculosis, any previous infection, immunocompromised patients, and unhygienic living conditions. Treatment involves a four-drug regimen of Rifampin, Isoniazid, Pyrazinamide, and Ethambutol for six months, followed by Isoniazid and Rifampin for two months. Surgical treatment may be necessary in few cases.
