Internal Derangement Of Knee

Internal derangement of knee is chronic condition that interferes with normal knee joint function. It can occur due to ligament injury, loose pieces of cartilage or bone in the knee joint or a meniscus tear. It can cause pain and discomfort. Treatment includes resting, cold packs, compression using elastics, and elevation of leg. Exercises like the knee extension, knee flexion, heel and calf raises, wall squats, swimming can strengthen the knees.
