Ketamine infusion therapy implicates the administration of a single infusion or a sequel of infusions for the treatment of psychiatric disorders. These psychotic disorders include major depressive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and acute suicidality. Ketamine is an uncompetitive N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor antagonist that has been utilized for the installation and keeping of anaesthesia.
