Lamotrigine Withdrawal

Lamotrigine is a drug used to treat and control seizures associated with epilepsy. It is also used as a mood-stabilizing drug in patients with bipolar disorder. Lamotrigine is known to have very bad withdrawal symptoms when drug consumption is suddenly discontinued. According to clinical studies, abrupt Lamotrigine withdrawal may increase the episodes of seizures in epilepsy patients. Other withdrawal symptoms include mood swings, inability to focus, headaches, tiredness, suicidal thoughts, etc.
