Low Purine Diet

A low-purine diet involves a diet plan that limits the intake of food rich in purine. A low purine diet helps in managing conditions like hyperuricemia (high level of uric acid in the blood) which can lead to gout and other complications. High sugary food, alcohol, red meat, organ meat, turkey, etc should be avoided. Milk, cherries, water, and coffee should be included in the diet.
