Microadenoma

Microadenoma is a small non-cancerous tumor that develops in the pituitary gland. These are the most common form of pituitary tumors. It can occur due to mutations in the DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid). The general symptoms of pituitary adenoma are headache, nausea, problems in vision, changes in behavior, and sexual dysfunction. It is treated by performing endoscopic transsphenoidal surgery and gamma knife radiosurgery.
