Pregnancy Induced Hypertension

Pregnancy-induced hypertension is known as high blood pressure present during pregnancy. The systolic blood pressure remains above 140 mmHg, and diastolic blood pressure remains above 90 mmHg. The symptoms of gestational hypertension are headaches, edema, weight gain, blurred vision, and nausea. The complications of gestational hypertension are seizures in the mother, stroke, temporary kidney failure, and blood clotting problems. Labetalol is the first-line treatment given for hypertension during pregnancy.
