Shoulder Impingement

Shoulder impingement or swimmer’s shoulder is the pain and inflammation when the connective tissue rubs on the shoulder blades due to repeated shoulder movements. It is the most common cause of shoulder pain in swimmers, tennis players, painters, especially when they have bone and joint defects. Pain medication, daily stretch exercise, hot pack application can relieve pain. However, it is better to avoid repeated overhead activity temporarily until the condition subsides.
