Need help with diagnosis

Medical Case Details:

Hello, everyone! A 65 years old lady complains of severe itching with eruptions under the armpit. These eruptions started 4 to 5 days back, and they seem to be increasing in number. Also, she has been sweating a lot, maybe due to the hot climate. A photo is attached here. Need help with the diagnosis. Does it look like a viral infection? Any advice would be really helpful. Thank you.

Apparently doesn't seem like a viral infection. Has she used something new for hair removal under the armpits such as a new cream or something? Is there a history of such symptoms before? More information would be helpful. Meanwhile, I would suggest practising personal hygiene and frequently cleaning the armpits and you said she's also sweating a lot.

Does she have it under both the armpits? or any of the other fold areas? It definately doesnt look like a viral infection. Has she applied anything over the area post the rashes. It looks like a steroid modified tinea . Avoid steroids, you can start antifungals.

I would also use antifungals and avoid steroids. The area should be kept dry, as fungi love moist warm areas.
