Medical Case Details:
27 years old male was diagnosed with Chlamydial infection with redness and swelling on the glans and tip of the penis with testicular pain. On 7th April 2020, he visited me as his previous treatment was not fruitful. After giving him Cefixime and Levofloxacin, his symptoms had been subsided, but the redness on the tip of the penis (external urethral meatus) remains the same. On 29th April 2020, we repeated his Chlamydial test, and it showed he is now totally free from Chlamydial infection. But, still, there is redness and swelling over the tip of the penis. I advised him to use Vaseline, Aloe Vera, and wash the affected area regularly. Today he has sent me the picture of his affected part, and I advised him using Clotrimazole cream and Hydrocortisone cream. I suggested protecting his private part from any type of friction or injury. Do we need to add anything additional in case of medication or type of advice? I will be glad if someone gives your valuable opinion for his further treatment.
