Dr. Poonam Patel Vasani is an Anesthesiologist who has 17 years of clinical experience. She is an expert in the multidisciplinary management of persistent pain, including back pain, neck pain, knee pain, and shoulder pain. She completed her MBBS at Calcutta Medical College and MD in Anesthesiology at University College of Medical Sciences and GTB Hospital, Delhi, and provides treatment using comprehensive clinical services, innovative technology, and advanced research programs. She is a visiting doctor at various hospitals and one of the top women doctors in India to offer interventional techniques in chronic cancer pain. She has treated thousands of patients suffering from multiple types of pain, including but not limited to neck, low back, mid-back, fibromyalgia, neuropathies, postherpetic neuralgia, reflex sympathetic dystrophy, and injuries due to sports, workers comp, slip, and fall, etc. She is a profound scholar whose contributions to the science of pain and palliative medicine have been both impactful and innovative to the area of clinical practice and the profession at large.

Dr. Poonam Patel Vasani has obtained fellowships in Interventional Pain Medicine and Palliative Medicine from Cipla Palliative Care and Training Centre. She is one of the few doctors selected for the Multidisciplinary Evidence-Based Pain Management Program held at Jaslok Hospital, Mumbai, under the International Association for Study of Pain. She is also the Winner of the 2nd edition Indian Business Women Awards and Conferences held in Bangalore, 2019. She has authored many scientific papers and delivered more than 450 talks on pain medicine across India.
