Amyloidosis

It is a rare condition in which amyloid protein builds up in organs. Sometimes it occurs with other diseases. The affected organs, such as kidneys, liver, digestive tract, spleen, and heart, do not work properly. It can cause fatigue, numbness around the hands and feet, and an enlarged tongue.

My father has weakness and swelling due to amyloidosis. Why?
