Burst Vein

When a vein ruptures, a small amount of blood leaks into the body. Just beneath the skin's surface, this blood may be visible. Although there are numerous causes for blood vessels to burst, injuries are the most common culprits. Small spots called petechiae or larger, flat patches called purpura are both signs of bleeding into the skin.
