Carbimazole

Carbimazole comes under the imidazole group to treat hyperthyroidism and thyrotoxicosis. Common side effects include headache, rashes, itching, joint and muscle pain, nausea, etc. The metabolization of Carbimazole into Methimazole is responsible for its antithyroid activity.
