Cardioembolic Stroke

Cardioembolic stroke is an intracardiac source of an embolism when there is no cerebrovascular disease with non-lacunar stroke. Arterial fibrillation, infective endocarditis, left ventricular thrombus, mitral stenosis, etc., are the cause of cardioembolic stroke. The symptoms are weakness, paralysis, confusion, numbness, etc. Medications like anticoagulants and surgeries for treating valves are the treatment procedures.
