Cervical Spondylitis

Cervical spondylosis is the natural wear down of cartilage, discs, ligaments, and bones in the neck. It is also called cervical osteoarthritis, and the main symptoms are neck pain and stiffness. The first-to-be-tried approaches are physical therapy, heat and ice massage, wearing a soft collar, and taking anti-inflammatory and muscle relaxant drugs. Steroid injections or surgery might be needed in severe cases, such as bone spurs, herniated disk, or pinched nerves.
