Chikungunya Prevention

Chikungunya is known to be a viral infection that spreads through mosquitos. The symptoms are fever, joint pain, headache, muscle pain, and rashes on the skin. These symptoms appear after 3 to 7 days of being bitten by an infected mosquito. It is managed by taking plenty of fluids and rest. Taking Acetaminophen helps in reducing fever. It is prevented by protecting ourselves from mosquito bites by using insect repellants, wearing a long-sleeved dress, and taking steps to control mosquitos indoors and outdoors.
