Colloid Cyst

Colloid cyst is a rare kind of neurological cyst seen in the third ventricle within the brain. The fluid inside a colloidal cyst is a gelatinous material that obstructs the flow of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). When the flow is obstructed, pressure within the cranial vault increases and leads to headache and visual disturbances. In severe cases, this cyst can cause hydrocephalus or CSF accumulation within the brain.
