Complications Of Forceps Delivery

Forceps are useful for the complications related to a mother or a child. However, they can cause a few complications such as vaginal tearing, the risk of formation of blood clots in the vein of the mother’s legs, or urinary and anal incontinence. Moreover, using forceps during delivery can leave pain in the area between the vagina and the anus of a mother. It also causes fatal complications where the muscles and ligaments supporting pelvic organs are weakened causing the pelvic organ to collapse.
