Corneal thickness refers to the thickness of the outer surface of the eye. The average thickness of the cornea ranges between 540 to 560 micrometers. A thick cornea ranges above 565 micrometers, and a very thick cornea refers to the thickness of a cornea greater than 600 micrometers.
