Cutaneous larva migrans are also termed the clinical sign of creeping eruption, where multiple types of hookworms cause an infectious syndrome. It is most commonly transmitted by the feces of an animal where the eggs get deposited in the soil, with larvae entering humans via direct contact with skin.
