IUD or intrauterine device is a birth control method, where a T-shaped device is inserted in the uterus. This IUD can get displaced after vaginal birth, in younger girls, and after a medical abortion. The symptoms of IUD displacement are heavy bleeding, severe abdominal cramping, abnormal vaginal discharge, and missing or uneven strings.
