Elevated IgA levels usually indicate chronic infections or inflammation. High IgA is observed in people with liver disease, diabetes, diabetic complications, hepatitis B, obesity, fatty liver, metabolic syndromes, alcoholism, Berger's disease, heart attacks, and multiple myelomas.
