Erythroderma

Erythroderma is a condition of having intense reddening of the skin due to inflammatory skin disease. It occurs due to exacerbating skin diseases such as psoriasis, contact dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, and lichen planus. It is managed by maintaining skin moisture, avoiding scratching and precipitating factors, and applying topical steroids on the affected site. The common drugs causing erythroderma are Carbamazepine, Cimetidine, lithium salts, and gold salts.
