FFP or Fresh frozen plasma is a blood product formed of plasma, the liquid part of the whole blood, processed shortly after donation and frozen within 8-24 hrs. it is used for prevention and management of bleeding when there is deficiency or absence of clotting factors leading to a high risk of excessive bleeding.
