My brother is suffering from stomach upset. Why that be due to an ulcer or gastritis?

Query: Hi doctor, My brother, who is 35 years old, has frequent stomach upset. As soon as he eats outside food that is spicy, he gets severe stomach pain. Will that be due to an ulcer or gastritis?
