Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis

Hypersensitivity pneumonitis is long-term inflammation of the lungs. It occurs to people who are exposed to allergic substances on a regular basis as a part of their daily living and work. Persistent exposure leads to immune reactions in the lungs to cause flu-like symptoms. If one does not seek treatment or keeps getting exposed to the allergic substances, the lungs may get permanently scarred.
