Intention Tremor

The involuntary muscle contractions that occur during a deliberate movement are known as intention tremors. Intention tremors do not happen on purpose; they are automatic, but the action that causes them is intentional, such as lifting a hand. The upper limbs are affected mainly by intentional tremors. Intention tremors are caused by autoimmune illnesses that impact the brain, causing muscle contractions. A finger to nose or heel to shin test is performed to identify intention tremor. The treatment is aimed at reducing the precipitating factor and eliminating the etiology such as medication or an underlying disease
