Lamivudine

Lamivudine is an oral prescription drug that is available in both generic and brand names. This drug is used to treat two different viral infections, HIV and hepatitis B (HBV). Lamivudine does not cure the infection with HIV or HBV, but it can only slow down the progression of the disease by stopping the replication of the viruses.
