Monitored anesthesia care is a type of sedation in which the patient will be awake and be able to follow the instruction in a sedative state, also known as conscious sedation or twilight sleep. Midazolam, Propofol, Fentanyl, etc., are the medications used for this. MAC is used for endoscopy, bronchoscopy, eye surgery, neurosurgery, pain management procedures, etc.
