Macular Amyloidosis

A macular amyloidosis is a form of primary localized cutaneous amyloidosis, a condition where proteinaceous material (amyloid) gets deposited in the skin, resulting in hyperpigmented patches. It appears as brown macules under the skin of the trunk and extremities. They are usually harmless, and there is no cure for amyloidosis.
