Mandibular Hypoplasia

Mandibular hypoplasia is also known as micrognathia, where the lower jaw is abnormally smaller. This condition is the result of either genetic inheritance or many craniofacial conditions. Due to the smaller jaw, the child may face difficulty in feeding which directly affects his health. Depending on the severity of the condition, there are surgical and non-surgical treatment options available that give good results.
