Common "Wet Anus" queries answered by top doctors | iCliniq

Wet Anus

Fecal incontinence is the leading cause of leaky wet anus. When the rectum muscles do not work properly to hold the feces (solid or liquid), they leak involuntarily without an individual's knowledge resulting in a wet anus or rectal leakage before the person reaches the bathroom. Constipation, diarrhea, Parkinson's disease, hemorrhoids, nerve damage, etc., are causes of the wet anus. Other causes include anal abscess and fistula, rectal bleeding, and abnormal anal discharge due to sexually transmitted infections.
