Movement Disorder

Movement disorders are nervous system or neurologic conditions that cause problems with movement, such as voluntary or involuntary increased movement or decreased movement. Movement disorders may occur due to genetics, infections, medications, brain damage, spinal cord damage, peripheral nerves, metabolic disorders, or stroke and vascular diseases. There is no specific cure for these disorders. Instead, the treatment is based on improving symptoms and relieving pain.
