Nance Appliance

A Nance appliance is a space maintainer that holds the upper primary molar tooth in its position. This is usually advised when the milk tooth is extracted before its shedding period, and the space has to be maintained until the successive permanent tooth erupts. It should be worn 12 to 14 hours a day. Like any other appliance, this should be removed when eating and drinking.
