Pentavalent Vaccine

The prevalent vaccine gives immunization against life-threatening diseases such as diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, hepatitis B, and Hib. This vaccine is administered intramuscularly in children more than 6 weeks of age until the age of 1 year. However, the protection against these diseases can diminish after three to six years of vaccination.
