Plate Fixation

A plate is a kind of internal fixation fastened to the bone by screws. Surgical-grade stainless steel or titanium is used to make plates. After therapy, plates can either be removed surgically or left in place. The purpose of plate fixation is to provide mechanical limb stability and restore anatomy, resulting in uncomplicated fracture healing.
