Regional Wall Abnormality

Regional wall abnormality means that motion of a particular area of the heart muscle is abnormal. There are different types of regional wall motion abnormalities, such as hypokinesia, where the contractions are reduced in the heart muscle, hyperkinesia, in which an area of the heart muscle contracts vigorously. Lastly, dyskinesia is when the heart muscle bulges out when the rest of the heart is contracting.
