Skin cancer is not very common in children and it affects the skin cells. Cancer may extend to adjacent tissues and other body parts. The commonest cause is sun exposure, however, age, genetics, certain medications, inherited disorders, and HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) infection may also be the causative factors.
