Slipping Rib Syndrome

Slipping rib syndrome implies pain in the lower chest and upper abdomen. It occurs when lower ribs move slightly more than regular. Slipping rib syndrome arises when intercostal cartilage between the ribs weakens and permits movement. This movement is usually called hypermobility.
